Edward W. Cameron Included in 2012 Best Lawyers

For the third consecutive year, Mr. Cameron has been named to the prestigious list of The Best Lawyers in America in the practice area of construction law. This award is highly regarded by both the public and the legal community because it is based on peer review – as it has been for almost 30 years. Sean P. Roche Made Partner

Cameron/McEvoy is pleased to announce that Sean Patrick Roche has been elevated to Member in the firm. As Sunny Cameron stated, “Sean is an excellent lawyer, has character and maturity well-beyond his years and is a consummate professional”. Mr. Roche joined in the firm just days after it opened in June of 2009, and he has been an integral part of the firm’s litigation team. Admitted to practice in Virginia and DC, Mr. Roche recently sat for the Maryland Bar as well, and he is currently pursuing an LL.M. in Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution at George Washington University. He anticipates completion of the degree in May 2012.

Joanna Faust Named Young Lawyer of the Year

The Virginia State Bar (VSB) has named Joanna L. Faust its 2011 R. Edwin Burnette Jr. Young Lawyer of the Year. The award was presented on June 17, 2011, at the VSB’s Annual Meeting in Virginia Beach. Ms. Faust has received this award in recognition of her service to the legal profession, including two years as the committee chair for the Young Lawyers Conference’s Docket Call newsletter, and to the community for a range of activities from pro bono work to events aimed at educating children about the law

Tim McEvoy Named One of Virginia’s Super Lawyers

Cameron/McEvoy is pleased to announce that Tim McEvoy has been named one of Virginia’s Super Lawyers for 2011. This is the third consecutive year that Tim has received this distinction. Because this honor is based on peer nominations, evaluations and a multi-step, state-wide process, it provides an objective list of outstanding legal counsel by practice area. Patrick J. McDonald to Join Cameron/McEvoy

Cameron/McEvoy is pleased to announce that Patrick J. McDonald will be joining the firm as an associate at the end of his term as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Arlington County Circuit Court. Mr. McDonald is a graduate of Princeton University (B.A., 2005) and he received his law degree from the George Mason University School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2010), where he served as the Senior Notes Editor for the Civil Rights Law Journal. Mr. McDonald will focus his practice on commercial litigation.

Joanna L. Faust Joins Cameron/McEvoy

As of April 11, 2011, Joanna L. Faust joined Cameron/McEvoy as an associate. Ms. Faust’s previous experience includes a year as Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert W. Wooldridge, Jr. in the Fairfax Circuit Court followed by several years as an associate at LeClair Ryan. She graduated from The College of William and Mary (B.A., 1997) and received her law degree from the George Mason University School of Law (J.D., 2006). She is very active in the local Bar associations and was recently cited as one of Virginia’s Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars. Ms. Faust’s practice focuses on commercial litigation.
